This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Volume Provisioning Department. As Hostmaster, you will be responsible for the updating and maintenance of all DNS, domain name and IP address records within THUS, and to assign these resources to customers as required. You will assess requirements and assign IP addresses to all Internet facing services, liasing with RIPE where necessary. You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of RADIUS profiles for certain services & oversee all domain name registrations and transfers. 

Key Challenges:

  • Liase with customers and internal parties during order validation process to ensure that orders are cleansed of incomplete & inaccurate IP information. 

  • Ensure orders are tracked through the provisioning pipeline & issues affecting the smooth delivery of services are escalated to relevant groups for resolution

  • Ensure internal and external suppliers are managed effectively

  • Liase with customers during IP assignment process ensuring valid justification

  • Ensure that all IP assignments are completed within SLA

  • Ensure that all DNS updates are completed within SLA

Successful Candidates will:

  • Have previous administration and customer service experience within a technical role in the Internet or Technology industry

  • Be knowledgeable in TCP/IP networks and associated protocols (e.g. DNS) 

  • Understand internet bodies such as RIPE, Nominet, Network Solutions

  • Possess high level of product knowledge

  • Demonstrate confident communication skills with the ability to build strong, effective relationships and across the business

  • Be a flexible team player who can work on their own initiative in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

  • Have sound organisational skills with ability to prioritise own workload

  • Display a thorough methodical approach with strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy

  • Posses in depth analytical problem solving skills and experience 

  • Be Customer focussed with excellent customer service skills

  • Be Computer literate to include Windows and UNIX
