We are currently recruiting for a Senior Carrier Analyst who will manage the commercial relationship between Thus and designated Voice Operators, to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and contract for commercial offerings that enable Thus to lower its cost of sale and deliver competitive UK centric voice communications services.

Responsibilities will include;

UK geo and non geo Voice

• Drive costs savings from £130m worth of spend with BT and other UK CPs.
• Negotiate new interconnects, and/or interconnect expansions to provide the optimum costs and capacity to maintain routing efficiency.

Mobile termination

• Drive costs savings from £40m worth of mobile spend with mobile operators, BT and other UK CPs.

Internal Voice

• Aid in CoS reduction and margin management of wholesale international voice traffic.
• Identify new voice suppliers, negotiate rates and contractual terms and project manage interconnects to successful completion.

Experience required:

• Extensive experience of working with Voice Network Operations, especially mobile.
• An understanding of the UK and International Telecoms environment.
• Demonstrable experience of business planning and delivery.
• Experience of budgetary control in a commercial environment.
• Peer network and relationships within the IT/Telecoms industry and/or customer base.
• Excellent understanding of voice products and solutions and how they are delivered to target markets.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Excellent understanding and appreciation of relevant markets, potential developments and competitor activity.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational and communications skills.
