The Switch Network Design Group is responsible for all aspects of the switch network System X and DX220 switches, along with the IN network.  As a Switch Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the Switch Voice Network.  You will have responsibility for designing / planning new interconnects and capacity management of existing capacity both within our internal and external network.  You will also be responsible for tje routing of all calls through the network to ensure that the calls egress as per Least Cost Routing standards in the Thus network.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Accurate and timely designs based on customer requirements.
• Maintaining & Auditing the Voice switch network.
• Interfacing with other Licensed Operators.
• Optimisation of the Voice Network
• Technical interface for new voice products.
• Support of both operational and sale teams.

Successful candidate should have:

• Experience of TDM switching technologies
• Experience of maintaining and creating databases.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to process large amount of data with a high degree of accuracy in a short time frame.
• Knowledge of software development would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of both IN & SIP environment would be an advantage.
• Has the ability to think laterally and provide innovative solutions.
