Aberdeen City Council
The Aberdeen City Council solution uses advanced automatic call control facilities, which means parents can call any time, night or day, to get updates on closures, school travel arrangements or other abnormal circumstances. The service takes the pressure off individual school switchboards, which are generally unable to cope with the large volumes of incoming calls.
It also enables the schools to update information easily and accept incoming messages from parents to individual pupils. The service currently covers some 600 schools with around 100,000 pupils.
